The Eco Ambassadors’ role is to protect; care about the world that God has given us and encourage others to live a sustainable lifestyle. The Eco Ambassadors nominated themselves for this position because they want to make a difference and help to care for God’s earth.
Sacred Heart Eco Ambassadors are an elected group who help our school community become more eco-friendly, reduce energy consumption and waste, and develop our outdoor areas to encourage wildlife. We attend meetings once a month and research solutions, formulate plans and contribute to school assemblies to tell the school.
Our ECO Ambassadors took part in a project with the Watford Trust and their ideas which were chosen to be implemented at Watford Football Club. Taking inspiration from Pope Francis’ Laudato Si, their project was that when people attend Watford Football Club they receive seeds with their ticket. The children have also designed a small garden for the Meriden Community Centre. Both projects will be completed this year.
Our Eco Ambassadors help to look after the school grounds.
