Respect for Self and Others

At Sacred Heart we promote respect for self and others through various means. We emphasise the teachings of Jesus Christ, which include the importance of treating others with kindness and compassion. We teach our pupils to respect for self and others through various means.  Our values are incorporated into the curriculum.  Pupils are taught about the dignity of every human person and the importance of valuing oneself and others.

Additionally, we provide a supportive and inclusive environment where the pupils are encouraged to develop a strong sense of self-worth and respect for others. They foster a sense of community and encourage students to embrace diversity, promoting understanding and acceptance of different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs.

Furthermore, we want our pupils to be kind and follow Christ’s message of love.  Our pupils are taught the importance of treating others with respect and dignity.

Finally, we strive to create an environment that promotes respect for self and others by integrating moral teachings, fostering a sense of community, and providing guidance and support to our pupils.

As part of our ‘other faiths’ topic we teach respect for all faiths.  Each class learn about another Judaism and Islam, every year and over their time at Sacred Heart they learn about different Christian religions and other faiths.
